I am so excited to have finally released the second issue of the Jewish Poets Collective poetry journal!

It’s been roughly one year since I founded the Jewish Poets Collective, and here we are with two issues of the journal and multiple poetry readings that have all helped to build community and support Jewish poets and allies.

My hope had been to share a little celebration of the one year mark, but ironically I was too busy with the journal and poetry readings to do so! But, I will say that the year went by very quickly, and although it was full of the stress of doing something new, and learning by mistakes, it’s been a rich and rewarding time and I am looking forward to the future.

Issue Two was made in collaboration with the Pomegranate Tent Collective, a group of artists and writers lead by Om Green. Nearly every page of the journal includes at least one piece of original art so that words and visuals are in balance with one another.

I’m very proud of the quality of poetry included in this issue, with contributions from poets who come from the United States, China, and Israel. Some may be familiar to the reader while others are just starting out, all have provided poetry well worth the reader’s time, and my hope is that as the season speeds along towards colder, darker days, the journal will provide company for you until the next issue.
