The fall session of the Jewish Poets Collective is in full swing, and before I provide a preview of October events, I want to share that Baruch November’s reading is this week, September 18th. I’m very excited at how many people have registered to attend, but there’s plenty of room for more, so please register and/or purchase a copy of Baruch’s newly released book The Broken Heart is the Master Key (Ben Yehuda Press, 2025).

Now on to October. The Jewish Poets Collective currently has three events scheduled for the month:
Maxim Shrayer will be reading from his newly released collection Zion Square (Ben Yehuda Press, 2025)
The Jewish Poets Collective celebrates its one year anniversary with the release of the second issue of the Journal.
And last but not least, The Jewish Poets Collective has created a new event-Rosh Chodesh virtual open mic night. Keeping in mind that Rosh Chodesh has long been considered a special holiday for women, each event will begin with an invited woman poet who will read one poem before the (virtual) stage is open to all.
The first event is scheduled for October 23 and features Donna Spruijt-Metz.
